Feeling Neutral

Standard

Elizabeth & James top / Zara jeans (similar online) / J.Lo shoes / Gypsy Nation vintage bag / etc… watchband bracelets / Gypsies & Debutantes friendship bracelet / rings c/o Vanessa Mooney / Free People sunnies (similar online)

With all of the traveling that I tend to do, it’s tough to pack “outfits,” so I usually opt for pieces that are interchangeable—hence my gravitation towards the color black. I love these neutral pieces because they can be dressed down like so, or they can each be bumped up a notch with other pieces.

If The Shoe Fits…

Standard

“Andi” circa late 1970’s – 1980.

You may have glanced at this and thought this was me, but either my mother was ahead of her time style-wise over 30 years ago, or everything comes back in style again. I would wear this simple, chic look—and check out those shoes!

While the return of the wedge will reign this spring and summer once again, I’m having the toughest time picking out the perfect pair. If only I had the ones my mother wore to trek around what looks like her honeymoon in Mexico. It’s nearly impossible to find ones that are low and comfortable enough for me to work in, as I’m on my feet all day, and of course affordable.

I’m always pleasantly surprised by how cute (and affordable!) some of the shoes the brand Aerosoles come out with every season. I love the heel on these A2 by Aerosoles wedges and these Aerosoles lace-up wedges, which would elongate legs. I guarantee they both would be comfy, as that brand always is.

Now if comfort and price weren’t priorities, I’d have the moxie to consider thesethese, or these. Though, in the reality of the life of a stylist, I’ll probably go back to these.

Spring Forward

Standard

Elizabeth and James blazer, SHIH bag; (Loehmann’s); Mimi Chica top (TJMaxx); Stella McCartney Jeans (TJMaxx, similar online); Kathryn Amberleigh shoes;  etc… modern vintage coin ring and watchband bracelets; House of Harlow sunnies; vintage tank, rings.

I don’t know about you, but this whole daylight savings business hit me hard so far this week. On the bright side—no pun intended—I had more time in the day to enjoy the nice, sunny weather.

Spring is thisclose and accidentally here this week and I couldn’t be happier. It may have been presumptuous of me, but I exposed my toes for the first time this year and wore my new Kathryn Amberleigh wedge sandals that I’ve been drooling over for quite some time now and managed to score for about half of the price on Gilt Groupe. If you’re not a member of Gilt yet, then you’ve been missing out…and spending way too much on designer clothing. Please accept my invitation and you can thank me later.
