Bright Brights, Big City

Standard

Uniq top (Century 21, similar online); Banana Republic camisole (similar); O by Organics skirt at Athropologie; Vince Camuto shoes (TJMaxx, similar online); Rebecca Minkoff bag; Ray Ban sunnies; Alex & Ani bangles; etc… watchband bracelets and coin ring.

I escaped the big city (NYC) for another big city (Philadelphia) this past weekend. The 80 degree (March!!) weather in Philly was ideal for strolling through the sights, parks and shops. I felt like I was home in Brooklyn shopping on 3rd Street at some great boutiques—on recommendation from Kim of Eat Sleep Wearincluding my new favorites like VagabondArt in The Mechanical Age of Reproduction, and Hostwhere I picked up this delightful blood orange scented candle.

I admit, I felt a little out of place wearing bright colors and overdressed for just about any activity here—especially going to The Nerdist Podcast taping at the Trocadero with comedians Chris Hardwick, Jonah Ray and Matt Mira, along with 800 self proclaimed nerds.

Even the swankiest spots for the Friday night crowd, like El Vez, were a bit more laid back than what I was used to, but I always say, it’s better to be over dressed than underdressed.
