Oldies But Goodies

Standard

Betsey Johnson dress (sample sale), Hayden Harnett for Target clutch, vintage 40's sunglasses, etc... watchband cuff and bracelet (ByBrooklyn), Shaya square bangle (shayanyc.com), vintage tortoise shell bangle, Butter platform shoes (endless.com) / photos by Joshua Boccheciamp

Ah, the in between season dilemma. We’re not quite ready for all of the new fun fall stuff, being it’s still 80 degrees out, but we’re getting sick of our summer wardrobe. What’s a sensible stylista to do?

Break out the oldies but goodies from her closet! Every time I slip into this—or any Betsey Johnson—dress, I instantly feel ladylike and like an old hollywood movie star. Lucky for me, this one is totally on trend with the below the knee hem and 40’s style femininity.

Also from the depths of my closet came this Hayden-Harnett for Target over-sized clutch. Too bad this recessionista is on a budget or else she’d buy everything by Hayden Harnett right now, like this perfect crossbody bag that I’d totally carry as a clutch like as seen on almost every runway this season.

Realistically, I’ll have to settle for the next designer for Target collaboration (Missoni for Target!), coming out in 2 weeks! Hopefully I can get my hands on this knit clutch for only $22.99 or tote for $34.99 before the whole collection sells out.

Stylist Tip: Tuck in the straps to your favorite crossbody or sing strapped bag and voila! Instant trendy over-sized clutch.
